Each year, 7th–12th grade students in Omaha-area schools are invited to participate in the Martin Luther King, Jr. “Living the Dream” competition. This program encourages young people to reflect on the values and vision of Dr. King and other leaders in the ongoing struggle for racial justice and human rights. Students submit original work, including poetry, music, dance, visual art, and other forms of creative expression, that explores how Dr. King’s dream remains relevant in their lives and in our community today.

Join us as we celebrate these powerful voices. Doors open at 5:00 PM and the show begins at 5:30 PM, hosted by event MC Houston Alexander. A licensed mental health professional, Tia Manning, will also be available on-site to support anyone who may wish to connect during the event.
