Founded in June 2000, the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization has grown to be the largest arts institution in Nebraska. Omaha Performing Arts (O-pa) is dedicated to creating a vibrant arts and entertainment experience in Omaha and the region — inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds with arts-based learning, community engagement, and extraordinary Broadway shows, concerts, and other performances. O-pa operates the Orpheum Theater, Holland Center, Steelhouse Omaha, and the Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement.

The Omaha Symphony is a non-profit organization that enriches people’s lives through the exhilarating experience of live orchestral music. The organization presents more than 200 live orchestral performances from September through June, mainly at the Holland Performing Arts Center and Joslyn Art Museum’s Witherspoon Concert Hall. In addition to MasterWorks, Symphony Pops, Symphony Rocks, Movie Music, Symphony Joslyn, and Family series concerts, the Omaha Symphony’s nationally recognized education programs touch the lives of nearly 30,000 schoolchildren each year.

Nebraska's only professional opera company began in 1958 as the Omaha Civic Opera Society, a volunteer association. With tremendous community support, it became fully professional by 1970. Opera Omaha produces a season of original mainstage productions, presented at the historic Orpheum Theater, and smaller productions and musical events throughout the community. Their mission is to enrich the quality of life in our community by creating professional opera and music theater. Opera Omaha is internationally known for its productions of eight world premieres and four American premieres of classical masterpieces, and is highly regarded regionally for an extensive education and outreach program that annually reaches thousands from elementary school through adulthood.

As one of the largest non-profit community theatres in the nation and one of the oldest arts organizations in Omaha, Omaha Community Playhouse’s mission is to enhance quality of life through live theatre, professional touring, and arts education. Performances are held at the Playhouse’s Howard and Rhonda Hawks Mainstage Theatre and the intimate Howard Drew Theatre. Ticket Omaha is the official online ticket retailer.
