Sprouts & the Symphony is the capstone performance held every year since the String Sprouts program’s creation. Violin, Viola, and Cello Sprouts have been working hard on their pieces in class and at home—today, they will perform them alongside the Omaha Symphony! Featuring additional performances by the Omaha Symphony, this interactive concert is as heart-warming as it is inspiring. 

String Sprouts is a groundbreaking strings program from the Omaha Conservatory of Music. String Sprouts offers violin and cello classes at low-to-no cost to young children in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area and beyond. String Sprouts was created by Artist-Faculty Mentor and Founder, Ruth Meints. The program was founded in 2013 by the Omaha Conservatory of Music as Violin Sprouts, adding Cello and Viola Sprouts a few years later.
