Experience the impressive fusion of talent as the Omaha Area Youth Orchestras (OAYO) Youth Symphony takes the Holland Center stage with the Omaha Symphony for their 2026 side-by-side collaboration. This year’s performance centers on the evocative power of late-19th-century Romanticism, beginning with Humperdinck’s Prelude to Hansel and Gretel. This enchanting work uses rich brass and strings to weave the famous "Prayer" theme into a mystical forest landscape of the Hansel & Gretel story.

The program reaches its dramatic peak with Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake Suite, a masterpiece of emotional storytelling. From the hauntingly beautiful Swan Theme to the rhythmic fire of the Czar’s, these young musicians perform alongside their professional mentors to bring this iconic score to life. Join us for an afternoon that celebrates the future of music through an inspiring display of partnership, skill, and symphonic passion.
