GRAMMY®-nominated artists Alfredo Rodriguez and Pedrito Martinez leave audiences in awe with their virtuosic playing and a dynamic musical connection. Rodriguez is a classically trained pianist from Havana who was discovered by Quincy Jones at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Martinez formed his distinct musical style growing up in the Cayo Hueso neighborhood of Old Havana, Cuba. 

Together, their different life paths create an extraordinary sound. Rodriguez’s artistry draws on classical influences such as Bach and Stravinsky, as well as Afro-Cuban rhythms and jazz. Martinez brings the pulse and spirit of Havana’s street music and a history of collaborations with artists including Sting, Paul Simon, and Wynton Marsalis.  

Together, these two master musicians take audiences on a unique and exciting journey through a variety of moods and influences, from Cuban classics to collaborative original compositions and unexpected favorites. Their collaborative album, Duologue, produced by Quincy Jones, helped establish them as a leading force in jazz, and their reputation continues to grow with every performance.
