The Alternate Routes is an American folk-rock band from Bridgeport, Connecticut, that has been moving audiences with thoughtful and emotional music for over a decade.

Their hit “Nothing More” — written for The Charlotte Helen Bacon Foundation (formerly Newtown Kindness) was featured in the 2014 Winter Olympics, on NCIS, and in a partnership with TOMS shoes. It was followed up with "Somewhere in America," a poignant and personal conversation about gun violence that earned the band a 2016 Independent Music Award and a visit to the White House.

They've released four EPs, including their debut This Is When from 2003, as well as The Watershed. The Alternate Routes issued six studio albums, including Good and Reckless and True, and Nothing More, as well as numerous singles.
