Rhythm master Paa Kow returns to Jazz on the Green! The talented drummer and his Afro-fusion Orchestra blend jazz, funk and African pop.

Growing up in a small village in Ghana, Paa Kow began to play music at a very early age. He has since grown to be internationally recognized as one of the most remarkable drum set players to tour in Africa, Europe and America. His drum – a custom, traditionally inspired set – is the only one of its kind in the world.

His deep groove and prodigious talent reveal a unique ability to speak to listeners with his drums. He’s on a mission to share the music and culture of his homeland on tour.

“Take the beat of Ghana’s traditional sound, add some American flavor, and mix it with Paa Kow’s stellar drumming chops. That is the musical recipe for a flavorsome sound.” – Soul Safari
