ANTONÍN DVOŘÁK: Cello Concerto
EDWARD ELGAR: Symphony No. 1
In what could possibly be its first ever performance by the Omaha Symphony, Elgar’s lush Symphony No. 1 will show why it received immediate and phenomenal success after its premiere in 1908. Cellist Oliver Herbert, “a knockout” (San Francisco Classical Voice), completes this uber-romantic program with the most iconic work for cello in the repertoire – Dvořák’s Cello Concerto.
For the respect and consideration of all Omaha Symphony patrons, children under 5 years of age are prohibited from attending this performance.
