Che Malambo returns to Omaha! The all-male troupe celebrates the South American tradition of the gaucho. The show features fast-paced footwork, spinning lassos and drumming.

Malambo started in the 17th century in the South American pampas. It evolved from competitive duels between the Argentine gauchos. The duels tested agility, strength and dexterity. It evolved to include what is its hallmark, zapeteo, the footwork inspired by the rhythm of galloping horses.

Malambo also features the drumming of Argentine bombos and boleadoras, a throwing weapon made of cords and stones.

“Che Malambo sent the audience into uproarious applause.” – The New York Times
