The Lesson Plan

History with Houston Alexander
– Students will take a deep dive into Hip Hop history.

MCing/writing with Conny Franko
– Students will learn what an emcee is, different angles they can take with language, get an introduction to various styles of rap, and gain perspective on how to share their own voice and stories.

Visual art with Hugo Zamorano – Students will learn where the contemporary/graffiti movement began, discuss street art, writing and how it ties into Hip Hop, as well as how the personal signature/tag evolved into masterpieces and bubble letters.
