Omaha Community Playhouse

Founded in 1924, the Omaha Community Playhouse continues to produce and present a full season of shows. It's the largest community playhouse in the nation, and also happens to be where Henry Fonda made his acting debut in 1925. The playhouse is home to two state-of-the-art performance spaces: the 560-seat proscenium Howard and Rhonda Hawks Mainstage Theatre and the 200-seat black box Howard Drew Theatre.

Each of the five Howard and Rhonda Hawks Mainstage Theatre productions run for about one month, with six performances per week. The Fonda-McGuire Series productions presented in the Howard Drew Theatre run for about one month with four performances per week. Space is also available for event rentals including company meetings, weddings or group parties. If you’d like to contact OCP about reserving a space, click here
