The group formed when guitarist Daniel Kessler and drummer Greg Drudy met at New York University. Drudy left the band in 2000 and was replaced by punk drummer Sam Fogarino. Current members include Paul Banks, Kessler and Fogarino. Their sixth and latest album, “Maurader,” was released in 2018.
